Ethnographic Museum

The building houses: collections, the exhibition "Decorative and applied art of Leningrad artists", the permanent exhibition "Altai gems", the information and educational center "Virtual Museum", consisting of a multimedia cinema and computer room, offices of employees.

The museum occupies the former building of the city primary school. It is a monument of history and architecture that was built in 1881.

The upper floor was occupied by the city school (the entrance was from the side of present-day Golovkov Street). The lower floor housed a women's primary school (the entrance was from the side of the Zhastar Park).

In 1912 it was renamed the higher city primary school. After the establishment of Soviet power, the building was used as a secondary school. During the Great Patriotic War, the building housed a hospital. Since the end of the war, it has been a school for working-class youth and a children's art school.

The East Kazakhstan Regional Architectural and Ethnographic and Natural Landscape Museum-Reserve also includes:
