Kurchum Local History Museum

The Kurchum Local History Museum was established in 1976 on a voluntary basis.
The organizer and founder of the museum was a lover of local history Kushnikov Mstislav Anatolyevich. The early exhibits were collected under his management, they consisted of 8 copies of antique items (old printed books, church items, ethnographic products of the Kazakh people). At the end of 1987, residents of the Kurchum district got a new museum building. Since February 1988, the museum received state status. The second building of the museum is a wooden house built in the early 20th century. This building housed the military commissariat from 1939 to 1962. A memorial plaque in remembrance of the fallen in the Great Patriotic War is also installed here.
