East Kazakhstan Regional Museum of Local History

The East Kazakhstan Regional Museum of Local History was established in 1915.

The museum collection includes more than 167,944 items.

The East Kazakhstan Regional Museum of Local History holds one of the largest and most informative archaeological collections among museums in Kazakhstan (more than 70,000 units).

Ethnographic monuments convincingly and comprehensively document the centuries-old history of the peoples of Eastern Kazakhstan.

The documentary fund of the history of the region of the XX century is extremely rich, there are carefully collected documents and photographs of the 20s - 30s, authentic posters of those years, materials of the participants of the Great Patriotic War.
