Barak Shurekuly, Kokzhal Barak (1702-1772) - batyr of the Kazakh people, one of the heroic commanders who had a great influence on the liberation war of the Kazakh people against the Dzungar invaders. The future batyr, the military commander Kokzhal Barak was born in Kyzyl Shar of Kurchum district of the East Kazakhstan region. He descended from the tribe Ergenekti - Kokzharly, who belonged to the tribe Naiman of the Middle Juz.
