In front of the regional Akimat building in August 2009, a monument to the poet and educator of the Kazakh people Abay Kunanbayev was erected. The authors of the monument were Esken Sergeybaev and Bakytzhan Abishev. Opposite the square there is a public garden and a fountain, a place for citizens to relax. The architectural ensemble of the square is completed by a mosque building, built in September 2003. The author of the project is A. Skaloban.
