Monument to Likharev

Decorative sculpture-fountain dedicated to the founder of the fortress Ust-Kamennaya Major I.M. Likharev is located at the intersection of Likharev-Slavskogo Street, near St. Andrew's Cathedral

The authors of the monument are sculptor V.S. Rappoport and architect M.V. Kozlov.

The monument is made of dark gray marble depicts the founder of Ust-Kamenogorsk fortress, located on a fighting oar boat with one sail, which seems to enter instead of the confluence of the rivers Ulba and Irtysh.

The boat is set on a 3-stepped granite pedestal symbolizing a river wave, which is located in the center of an 8-coal fountain.
The monument was opened in 1990.
