One of the most beautiful places in Ust-Kamenogorsk is considered to be Zhastar Park (former Kirov Park), which in 2001 was transferred to the Ethnographic Museum, and its reconstruction began at the same time. With the participation of the Altai Botanical Garden the old trees were gradually replaced with new plantings. Perennials are now selected so that flowering begins in early spring and lasts all summer. Especially interesting is the alley of high aralia, Amur velvet and walnut. The undergrowth is composed of honeysuckle, iris, Sivers apple, and hawthorns.
