Kurchum Ridge is a mountain ridge in the south of Altai, located on the territory of the Kurshim District of East Kazakhstan Region. It stretches between the Kurshim River in the north, the Kalgaty and Kalzhyr rivers and Lake Markakol in the south.

The length of the ridge is about 150 km . Prevailing heights range from 700-1000 m in the west up to 2500 m in the east. Maximum height - 2645 m . The ridge is composed of Paleozoic metamorphic rocks. The lower parts of the steep slopes of the ridge are covered with steppe vegetation, alternating with grass meadows, while the northern slope is covered with larch forests. Heights over 2000 m are covered with high-altitude tundra.
