Lineyskiy Belok is the highest point of the West Altai Nature Reserve – 2598 meters above sea level. The Kholzun ridge, along with the smaller Koksuisky ridge, acts as a barrier to the western transfer of atmospheric precipitation. The area of the junction with the Ivanovsky Ridge is the point of the absolute maximum humidity in Central Asia. Bears hibernate in the upper border of the forest on this mountain. Translated from the Altai language, the name means "bald mountain".
