Shcherbakov Lake is located on the territory of the West Altai Nature Reserve, which was created on the initiative of B. Shcherbakov. The way to the lake is very picturesque and runs along the northern slope of the Ulba ridge. The length of Shcherbakov Lake is 306 meters and the maximum width is 154 meters. The shores of the lake are steep, difficult to reach and only in the western part at the confluence of a small river into the lake, you can easily get to the shore of the lake. From the south, the lake is bordered by the steep slopes of the Ulba ridge. From the eastern, northern and western sides, the lake is surrounded by coniferous trees mainly consisting of cedar. It is a closed lake, filtration from the lake is carried out by groundwater.
