Lake Yazоvoe (Karakol) is an Alpine lake, bright and calm. From here you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Belukha, which is reflected in the lake during clear weather. This lake is located on the main route to Belukha, the upper reaches of the Katun River, the Kokkol Waterfall and the Kokkol mine. The size of the lake is relatively small: 1.0x0.4 km. The basin of the lake is surrounded by a ring of coniferous forest, going into the mountains, passing to the upper alpine meadows. The lake is famous for great fishing, as its name suggests. There are quite a lot of marals and bears living in its vicinity. This is the only lake in the region where ide is found. The lake is located 12 km north of Karaayryk village.
