Gromotukha is a mountain river in the north part of Eastern Kazakhstan. At the confluence with the Tikhaya River, it forms the Ulba River.
Gromotukha originates from the Southern slope of the Ivanovsky ridge and the Northwestern slope of the Ulba ridge from numerous rivers and streams with the names Right and Left Gromotukha. Part of the flow of the Malaya Ulba River is diverted into the upper course of the Gromotukha River.
The Gromotukha River flows ten kilometers from the city of Ridder. The icy mountain river carries freshness even in summer, and its stormy waters rush along the rapids of the Gromotushinsky gorge.
