Kokkol Waterfall

The Kokkol Waterfall is the largest waterfall in Altai, it is located on the Kokkol River.
It is formed by a small mountain river flowing from the lake of the same name and flowing into the White Berel River. At the confluence with the White Berel, the Kokkol riverbed approaches a sharp ledge with a height of about 80 m and a steepness of 60-70 °, from here a water stream over 10 m wide falls down with a deafening roar, audible far around.
Along the ridge and rocks of the left and right edges, the water does not fall down, but flows in narrow, rapid "snakes". When water falls from a great height, it forms water dust that ionizes the air in the valley. On sunny days, rising above the waterfall, the water is painted with all the colors of the rainbow.
