The Bukhtarminskaya hydroelectric power plant is located on the Irtysh River, 5 km upstream from the town of Serebryansk. The power plant has 9 units of 75 MW each, with a total capacity of 675 MW. The power plant, part of Kazzinc on a long-term concession basis, is integrated into the Kazakhstan national energy system and is the peak power plant regulating the energy supply. The station generates 2.4 billion kWh of electricity per year. The electricity generated is fully used to supply power to the company's subdivisions.
