Ust-Kamenogorsk HPP is the second stage of the Irtysh HPP cascade and acts as a counter-regulator for Bukhtarma HPP. The station was designed on the model of Dnieper HPP. Its main function is power generation and compensatory regulation of the Irtysh River flow.
