
Kazakhstan climbed from 66th to 52nd place among 119 countries in the World Economic Forum's Global Travel and Tourism Development Index.
This was announced at a Central Communications Service (CCS) briefing by Nurbol Baizhanov, Acting Chairman of the Tourism Industry Committee of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
"Entering the top 50 countries is one of our strategic goals. This reflects the results of systematic work to enhance convenience and safety for tourists, improve infrastructure, and increase the accessibility of tourist sites," the speaker noted during the press conference.
