On May 23, a large festival as part of World Orienteering Week (WOW) took place at Republic Square in Ust-Kamenogorsk. The main goal of the event is to popularize orienteering and attract a wide audience to active recreation.
The event brought together sports enthusiasts of all ages — from young participants to the older generation. The routes were designed in such a way that everyone could test their attentiveness and enjoy the process of finding control points.
A pleasant bonus awaited the participants at the finish line: each orienteer received an official WOW certificate confirming their participation, as well as delicious treats from the project's sponsors. Such initiatives actively develop mass sports in East Kazakhstan and make healthy leisure accessible to all residents and guests of the city.
