Kazakhstan residents were delighted by the performance of Abay's song by famous cellist Bagzhan Yesirkep at a height of 115 meters in Semey. The video, in which cellist Bagzhan Yesirkep on the highest point of the bridge in Semey performing Abay's favorite song "Kozimnin karasy" went viral.
As it turned out, the idea to popularize creation of great Abay and beauty of East Kazakhstan for development of domestic tourism came to the minds of representatives of the Department of tourism and external relations VKO.
"We are sure that these projects in social networks stimulate citizens of Kazakhstan to travel around their country and discover their native lands, it is especially important during the pandemic. We believe that thanks to such projects tourism in East Kazakhstan will develop.
It was a pleasure that Bagzhan Yesirkep immediately agreed to take part in this project. He said that at the beginning of his career he had a goal to play Kazakh songs on the cello and give music a new breath. He succeeded very well", said Tatiana Iseneva, director of the VKO Tourist Information Centre.
According to her, to shoot this reel was very uneasy, even more difficult - to observe all safety measures.
"Before the film crew climbed up the bridge, everyone was instructed. We went up in helmets, only on the elevator - 17 minutes. It was very hard to shoot, as it was cold - about minus 30 degrees. It was difficult for Bagzhan to shoot in such conditions, but all team coped successfully. All the shooting was done by drone, there were four takes, and we chose the most successful one", - said Tatiana Iseneva.
Note that the bridge in Semey is 115 meters high. Popular videographer, travel-blogger Anzor Gasayev shot the video.
As for the composition performed by the cellist, it is a famous composition of Abay "Kozimnin karasy. This work about love was written in 1891.
As noted in the Department of tourism and external relations of EKR, this is not the only video. There are plans to create a whole series of videos that will combine two themes - the beauty of eastern Kazakhstan and the creativity of great people born in this region.
