On September 26, 2025, Oskemen hosted Altay Invest, an international investment event that brought together business representatives, government bodies, international organizations, and potential investors.
The forum became an important platform for discussing the development prospects of East Kazakhstan, attracting investments, and strengthening international cooperation.
As a result, 40 memorandums worth over 740 billion tenge were signed. These include projects in energy, agriculture, industry, tourism, and other sectors.
Special attention was given to tourism development. Among the signed agreements:
construction of a hotel complex in Katon-Karagai worth 8 billion tenge;
development of a tourist recreation complex in Ulken Naryn district for 1 billion tenge;
construction of the Markakol – Urunkai road, which will become an important part of the tourist infrastructure.
Altay Invest once again confirmed East Kazakhstan’s strong investment and tourism potential, as well as the growing interest of international partners in the region’s development.
