In honor of World Tourism Day, the vibrant «TourEast Kazakhstan» festival was held at the Left Bank Complex in Ust-Kamenogorsk. The main goal of the event was to showcase the rich tourism potential of the region and introduce residents and guests of the city to its beauty and recreational opportunities.
A rich program was prepared for the visitors, including a concert with the participation of regional creative groups, a crafts fair, tastings of national dishes and local products, as well as presentations of tourist routes and attractions of East Kazakhstan.
The festival brought together entrepreneurs working in the tourism industry, as well as specialists of the field. In his speech, Akim of East Kazakhstan Region, Nurymbet Saktaganov, emphasized the importance of tourism development:
“Tourism is not just leisure. It plays a significant role in the economy of many countries around the world. It contributes to the development of infrastructure, the creation of new jobs, and the strengthening of international reputation. Our President, Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev, pays great attention to the development of tourism in Kazakhstan. In his latest Address to the Nation, the President stressed the importance of creating modern infrastructure in tourist zones, bringing facilities to proper condition, and focusing on attracting foreign tourists.”
As part of the festival, representatives of the tourism business held a raffle of valuable prizes, which brought great joy to the guests. In addition, honorary diplomas and letters of gratitude were awarded to representatives of the tourism sector who contributed to the development of East Kazakhstan’s tourism.
