Akim of the East Kazakhstan Region, Nurymbet Saktaganov, held an official meeting with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Michał Łabenda. The discussions focused on key strategic partnership areas, including investment attraction, industrial growth, scientific cooperation, and tourism development.
Special emphasis was placed on the region’s tourism potential. The Polish diplomat highlighted the strong interest among Polish travelers in East Kazakhstan’s nature and outdoor activities:
"Ski tourism is well-developed in your region. Our tourists truly enjoy this type of active recreation," noted Michał Łabenda.
To introduce the Polish audience to the unique destinations of East Kazakhstan, the diplomat proposed producing a joint promotional video. Michał Łabenda also shared his personal impressions of the regional center, commending Oskemen as a beautiful and safe city.
Akim Nurymbet Saktaganov fully endorsed the proposals for joint tourism promotion and emphasized the importance of continuing to expand bilateral ties.
