This coming Saturday, Shemonaikha will become the venue for a large-scale four-wheel-drive vehicle competition. The city is hosting a stage of the prestigious Rainforest Challenge (RFC Global Series).
The event will unfold on the northern outskirts of the city, on the left bank of the Beryozovka River. This location will become a center of attraction for extreme motorsport enthusiasts from across the region.
Participants will compete for victory in the R3 (Modified) category. The RFC format involves navigating Special Sections (SS) across rough terrain, requiring crews to demonstrate not only engine power but also exceptional driving technique. The track features a combination of natural terrain barriers and specially constructed artificial obstacles.
The starting list includes 12 crews driving technically equipped off-road vehicles, featuring models such as the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, Nissan Patrol, Jeep Cherokee, Lada Niva, UAZ-469, and Tank 400.
09:00 — Official opening, briefing, and drawing of lots.
09:30 — Start of the special sections races.
17:30 — Conclusion of the competition, calculation of points, and awards ceremony.
Admission to the territory is free for those who wish to watch the races. The competition will take place between the 12th microdistrict and the "Qazaq Oil" gas station.

The event is organized by Valeriy Morgunov, with the support of the Akimat of Shemonaikha city, the district department of culture and sports, and the youth resource center.
