The Edelweiss recreation center has a rich history and is the basis for the development of alpine skiing in Eastern Kazakhstan. Leading schools of East Kazakhstan region train athletes on the mountain, including the “Republican Specialized Boarding School-College of the Olympic Reserve in the city of Ridder.” The beautiful ski stadium includes 3 slopes of varying difficulty levels and lengths. For beginner skiers, there is a wide, gentle slope at the top of the mountain, as well as a training slope and a baby lift.
