On June 14, 2025, the international music festival “Altai – the Golden Cradle of the Turkic World” will take place in the Katon-Karagay district of East Kazakhstan region.
The festival program reflects the richness of the cultural heritage and historical continuity of the Turkic peoples. The stage will host renowned Kazakhstani performers, including the group “MuzArt”, Kobylandy Bolat, Kuralai Meirambek, the groups “Abiroi” and “Turan”, Amre, and other celebrated artists. Special guest performers from Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tatarstan, the Sakha Republic, and other Turkic countries will also take part in the event.
The highlight of the opening ceremony will be the symbolic presentation of the Standard — a sacred emblem discovered in the Berel burial mound. This artifact symbolizes the spiritual heritage, historical unity, and cultural ties of the Turkic world.
The festival will be hosted by the acclaimed actor Adil Akhmetov and television presenter Amina Zhumamurat.
The festival program features ethnographic performances, historical compositions, traditional music, and folk dances. Through the art of its participants, the festival will showcase the unity and the linguistic and spiritual connection of the Turkic peoples.
