The Saur Mountain Range begins in China at the western outskirts of Lake Ulyungur and extends eastward into Kazakhstan. In the west, Saur sharply descends into the Manrak Range, which almost reaches the shores of Lake Zaisan with its spurs. The northern slopes of the Saur, on which our journey will take place, are heavily dissected by numerous valleys and resemble Altai in their structure. The Saura foothills are covered with semi-desert vegetation. To the south, with the rise of the spurs and the advanced ridges, the landscape changes into dissected middle mountains with meadows and bushes. Forests of Siberian larch and Tien Shan fir appear. There are many medium and small rivers, streams, springs and springs. This is how it is - Saur - a corner of untouched nature with a large population of animals of different species: from large red deer, to small rodents. It is better to see this wealth with your own eyes.
