One of the most unique monuments of Rudny Altai culture is a Neolithic temple complex Ak-Baur. The few mentions and information about it date back to the end of the XIX century - beginning of the XX century. Ak-Baur tract, which is also called the Kazakh Stonehenge, is a unique monument of primitive cultures, located 38 kilometers from our city, literally within a stone's throw from the Samara highway. An ancient astronomical site, rock paintings and petroglyphs have been preserved in this tract. Scientists have racked their brains, putting forward various theories about the purpose of this place.
