Sibin Lakes are located 85 km from Ust-Kamenogorsk (1 - 1.5 hours drive from the city, the road is paved). Recreation on the Sibin lakes will certainly be appreciated by fans of ecotourism. Getting to these places is already a pleasure: the way here is decorated with a picturesque landscape of granite massifs - the Ablaikit Mountains.
The lakes lie in the "bowls" of low mountains, which are bizarre in shape. In some ways, they resemble a layer cake. In the mountains there are rare pines, shrubs and colorful meadow grasses. It is not uncommon to see whole flocks of ducks in the Sibins, and there are also carp, pike and sazan, so come with fishing rods.
The Sibin water area includes 5 lakes with the purest clear water.
The first lake (Sadyrkol). It has a well-equipped area with piers, sports and children's playgrounds. The approaches to the water are conveniently organized. It is better to go by car with a high ground clearance.
The second lake (Tortkara) is suitable for family vacations. Here the most comfortable conditions and created all the amenities for tourists with children.
There is a large beach, equipped with swimming areas, you can rent boats and catamarans. Drinking water pumps are also available. The order and safety are monitored by lifeguards.
The shores of the third lake (Shalkar) are the most crowded during the beach season. The municipal beach functions here, where the residents of the region come for the weekend. There is a cafe, you can rent sun beds and umbrellas. However, you will have to bring drinking water with you, or buy it on the spot in shopping stalls. One of the advantages for vacationers is the presence of an ample parking lot. And it is not surprising that on the shore of this lake is built a base for lovers of spearfishing - “Sibiny” Diving Center. On 1-2 of August, a Diving festival is held here.
On the fourth lake (Korzhinkol), comfortable wooden gazebos were built right on the water. The gazebos are connected by a pier, where you can easily sunbathe. There is also an extreme obstacle course complex, a climbing wall, and a mountaintop observation deck.
There are bio toilets. By the way, the horseshoe-shaped lake Korzhinkol is also called "the bag-lake" (from the Kazakh word "korzhyn" - a bag that was thrown over the saddle of an animal).
The coastal territory of the fifth lake (Karakol) is occupied by a specially protected nature and landscape reserve. It is not allowed to enter by car here.
